Let Your Love Flow Because Your Kindness is Needed

let your love flow

When I woke up in the middle of the night, an old song popped in my head. I remember thinking it could be the theme song for this website. I also felt that the words were encouraging me to continue my path.

In the morning I couldn’t remember the name of it or any of the lyrics. All I knew was it was from the 1970s- and I typically listen to much newer music.

That afternoon, when I pressed “scan” on the car radio, the song came on. It is Let Your Love Flow, written by Larry E Williams and recorded by the Bellamy Brothers in 1975.

Just let your love flow
Like a mountain stream
And let your love grow
With the smallest of dreams
And let your love show

If becoming a Messenger of Love were a musical, this would be the opening number. Whether you like the song or not, I believe we are all meant to be loving people. Our destiny is to spread a message of love wherever we go, to be shining brightly to all we meet. Imagine a world where we are all living up to the song.

And let your love bind you
To all living things
And let your love shine

That’s the world I want.

A world where we see each other as brother and sister. We are connecting and smiling and making eye contact. We treat everyone with love. Because we are One. There is just one race, the human race. There is just one religion and that is love. If we all believe in love then we all can get along.

When that love light shines all around us.

How can you let your love flow?

Start by loving yourself. The happier you are with who you are, the easier it will be to love others. Do one thing today that shows love and kindness to you.

Take some me-time to get some rest, enjoy the outdoors, sit quietly, to journal, or work on a hobby or passion. Love yourself by giving your body quality food, plentiful rest, and get the blood flowing with some movement.

Then strive to lift up one person. Leave them happier than when you met them. It could be a cashier, co-worker, relative or friend. The next day, try to lift up two people.

This also is the secret to finding joy. Lift up others and you’ll find yourself glowing with joy, too. Tweet: Lift up others and you'll find yourself glowing with joy, too. @lizvioletnewell #bamol https://ctt.ec/frhZ8+
